It is February again and Valentine’s Day is just two weeks away. Making this day extra special for our significant other is always a must. And since this coming Valentine’s Day falls on a Wednesday, the most feasible plan would be romantic dinner date.
It is best to make early preparations, especially on hotel and restaurant reservations, since the best ones usually get fully booked a week ahead. So far, here are my top recommendations for that romantic dinner date this Valentine’s Day here in Davao City.

Seda Abreeza's will be having a movie-inspired dinner set-up made more romantic with harmonies of love songs for their Valentine’s Date Night. Their Misto Restaurant, which was hailed as one of the best restaurants for 2018 by Philippine Tatter, will be offering an exquisite 3-course dinner featuring their signature Angus Roast Beef.

2. Claude’s Le Cafe de Ville
Claude's has always been a favorite place for dinner dates, whether it is Valentine's or not. Their french cuisine and vintage interiors gives a romantic and intimate charm to the restaurant. This Valentine's Day, they will be offering two special menu options. Their choices for the main are Grilled Fish Fillet of Lapu-Lapu or Tournedos Rossini. Claude's Valentine's Dinner is at P1,600 and P1,900 nett per person based on the aforementioned mains respectively.

Waterfront surely has taken its Valentine's celebration seriously. This year they will be offering four different romantic experiences for Valentine's Day. First is a gourmet four-course dinner at Cafe Uno for P1,500 nett per person which runs from Feb 13-15. Second is a hearty seafood buffet at Waterfron'ts La Parilla for P1,000 nett per person, only available on Feb 14. Third is a convenient but special all-day in-room dining experience with a lovely four-course dinner and a bottle of wine. This will be at P4,500 nett for two persons and will run from Feb 13-15. And finally, they have a intimate dinner at their garden gazebo with scenic views of the Davao Gulf and Samal Island at P5,000 nett for two persons only on Feb 14.

Bondi & Bourke is a charming place to be on Valentine's Day. As such, they are celebrating the hearts day with Love Bites, a romantic Valentine's Day dinner with a special five-course meal. Their options for the main are U.S. Creekstone Prime Rib-Eye and Seared Seabass with Organic Ratatouille.
5. Bon Appétit
Another one of my favorite french restaurants in Davao, Bon Appétit, presents Diner Passion this Valentine's day. They will be featuring multi-awarded choirmaster Peter Buaya and selected UM Chorale for a heartwarming musical performance. Bon Appétit will be offering a sumptuous four-course Valentine's Dinner with Beef Wellington stuffed with Foie Gras and Shrimp Risotto as options for the main.

Second is the Trio of Beef comprised of 3-day Shortribs, Crispy Beef-Shallot Salad, Angus Ribeye with Red Wine Glaze. And finally, there's the Crispy braised Pork Belly with Braised Red Cabbage in Apple Sauce. I'm sure they taste as impressive as they sound.
