2018 has been an exhilarating ride. The year started out with an unexpected shift in my career path. There were many struggles along the way and the learning curve was steep. But I was able to cope up with the help of my mentors, colleagues, and team mates. I also married the love of my life last September. The preparations were tough and I thought I was going to faint before I walked down the aisle. But everything turned out more perfectly than I could have ever imagined it. Keen and I also had our dream honeymoon in Japan. It was probably the best international trip we've had so far. We explored many places and ate a lot of our favorite Japanese food. it was really a dream come true. Then there's the married life where Keen and I had to go through many changes and adjustments. I can't believe it's been almost two months since my last blog. So much has happened during the time that I've been gone. There were many life changing decisions, sudden twists and turns, goodbyes and new beginnings.. And now here I am, back to where I always belong: Home. Nothing can give you a better rest than being at home with your family. Everything becomes calm, nurturing and carefree. It's a peace of mind that you cannot exchange for anything material in this world. It's almost a month now since I came back to Davao and I'm cherishing every moment of this rest period. I feel my mind, body and soul slowly recovering from fast paced life I've led. Sometimes we just need to stop for a moment and reevaluate. That's exactly what I'm doing. There's this common saying I learned from high school that says "Life is a constant change." Indeed it is. I started this blog a long time ago but it's only now that I'm starting to put something into it. I just turned twenty four yesterday and today's the last day of my birthday vacation. So I decided to do something that I've been itching to do, to start my own blog. Having a blog is a change I have always been planning but was never able to do because of lack of time and energy. But I guess when you just have that enough will to learn and explore, life always gives you enough opportunity to be able to do the things you've been craving to do.
