#GratefulFor2015

Image
I got my third CBTL planner this December. My key takeaway from their 2015 planner was to always have an 'Attitude of Gratitude'. This coincides with one of Bo Sanchez' message in the last Cebu Kerygma Conference I attended. There he said that prayers should not be about asking but about being thankful, for the things that we've been praying for have already been given to us. We already have it. Be grateful. And so my last blog for this year is about being #GratefulFor2015. I am grateful for my family for always welcoming me home with happy hearts. I am grateful for my friends and colleagues and the many memories we've had together. I am grateful for my work and for the many travels I had this year. I am grateful for all the heartbreaking lessons and the rewards reaped from success. I am grateful for another year full of life. Everything I went through made me who I am right now. And I continue to be grateful to God for 2016. I claim it and I know that I already...

My Friday the 13th

Image
It's been a while since my last blog and I'm writing about a topic that has never been really significant to me, a superstition called Friday the 13th. The  popular western superstition, also known as Black Friday, is an unlucky day if Friday falls on the 13th of the month. So it's never been that significant to me because I've always survived Friday the 13ths with no unlucky happenings. Bad luck comes when it does, regardless of the date or day of the week. It's just a superstition. However, yesterday was different. November 13 fell on a Friday and I was in a company teambuilding event in a very nice resort. I spent my free time biking around the beautiful place. The sun was up, the sky clear, the lush landscape complemented everything. It was a perfect morning with no signs of anything bad that may happen. But lo and behold, as I biked down the bridge, the downward acceleration was so fast I wasn't able to react or brake immediately. I couldn't con...

When Dreams Cross Each Other

The wonderful thing about dreams is that when you've fulfilled another, you can always have a new one. Of course, dreams could also be simultaneous. More often than not, time is of the essence for these dreams. They can be demanding. They can take a lot of time and effort . It also take a lot of investment, b oth financially and emotionally. Sometimes it needs to start early, it needs to start now. I'm on the verge of two dreams, like being in a crossroad leading to two paths, both providing a hopeful future contrasting each other. How do you know which weighs better than the other? How do you know if it's time to leave or stay? How do you choose which one can provide more joy and growth? So many questions that only the heart can answer.. "I lift up to You Lord, all my hopes and dreams, my fears and failures, my tears and my joys. All that I am, You know better where to be planted. In your will, I rest my heart and I shall follow. Amen."
