Beating the El Niño Heat
Summer's almost up and the weather's heat is more than usual. Here in the Philippines, we will be experiencing El Niño , a climate pattern associated with warmer surface waters from the Pacific Ocean. To those who live in the city like me, this phenomenon can be felt through the higher than usual temperatures during the day and some notable droughts which affect our food and water supply. So far, we are currently at 37-41 degrees Celsius and if we are not careful, a heat stroke could attack us anytime. Here are some ways that can help beat the El Niño Heat: 1. Drink lots of water (while making sure you are conserving it!) The heat dehydrates our body so we have to replenish it as quickly as we can. If there's any major use for water right now, that should be for our personal consumption.
